The Parks and Recreation Department is dedicated to the wellbeing and quality of life of our community.  We provide the best in programs, parks and services at a great value to our customers.  Brentwood has 234 developed acres of parkland, 70 award winning parks and facilities, 19.2 miles of beautiful trails, and 60 miles of bike lanes.  We offer over 100 recreational activities and events for people of all ages and interests.

Brentwood 2017 Summer Bike Challenge

June 5, 2017 

Explore your hometown from the seat of a bike! This program is free and fun for all ages. Bike to parks, schools, the library, City Hall, Farmers Market, Downtown, and the Aquatic Complex -- and collect cool FREE STUFF and prizes along the way! Pick up your Challenge Card at the library, City Hall, Community Center, Aquatic Complex or download it online from www.511ContraCosta.org/SBC.

Water Play Features in Parks

March 30, 2017 

The water play features in City Park, Rainbow's End Park, Blue Goose Park, and Dolphin Park will be all be turned on for the season on April 1st and will run daily from 10 a.m. until 7 p.m. Water play features will remain on through October 31st. Stop by and cool off in these awesome parks!
